I am pleased to announce the release of the next major version of Thank Me Later, 3.0. The first major release for since 2009, version 3.0 introduces some really exciting new features.
For those of you unaware, Thank Me Later is a WordPress plugin which sends ‘thank you’ emails to a blog’s commenters after an amount of time has passed. For example, if you leave a comment on this blog post, you will receive a targeted email within a few hours.
The plugin is very powerful. You can write multiple email messages, targeting specific categories or individual posts on your blog. You can choose when the message is sent and the maximum number of times each message should be sent.
What is New in Thank Me Later 3.0?
Statistics. The plugin now shows you how many ‘thank you’ messages have been sent to your blog commenters, and how many are due to be sent.
Simplification. There was a lot of clutter in the previous versions of Thank Me Later. I’ve removed the send probability to make managing multiple email messages easier.
HTML by default. All ‘thank you’ emails are sent as multipart messages with a text version and HTML version. Creating HTML emails requires no knowledge of HTML: simply select a template and your plain text message is automatically converted to HTML.
Shortcode support. Thank Me Later supports some shortcodes which allow dynamic and personal information to be sent in emails. For example, you can include the commenter’s name using the [name] shortcode.
If you already have Thank Me Later, simply upgrade from your WordPress.
